middot Output current up to 100mA middot No external components required middot Internal overload protection middot Output voltage offered in 4% tolerance The TL78L00 series of positive voltage regulators are inexpensive, easy to use devices suitable for a multitude of applications that require a regulated supply of up to 100mA. These regulators feature internal current limiting and thermal shutdown making them remarkably rugged. No external components are required in most applications. These devices offer a substantial performance advantage over the traditional Zener diode resistor combination, as output impedance and quiescent current are substantially reduced. This series is offered in a 3 pin TO 92, SOT 89 and an 8 pin SOP 8 package. Order Codes N89BZ, N90BZ and N91BZ have a quiescent current of 4mA, and an input voltage of 40V. All other Order Codes have a quiescent current of 3mA and an input voltage of 35V. All Order Codes have a voltage drop of 1.7V and a peak output current of 0.15A.
